  • Accessing Sales Tax Reports:

    • Start on your QuickBooks dashboard.
    • Navigate to the left sidebar and select 'Taxes.'
    • Click on 'Sales Tax'.
  • Understanding Sales Tax Agencies:

    • The screen displays sales tax agencies for which taxes have been collected, such as California and North Carolina.

  • Reviewing Tax Periods:

    • Each state shows a specific tax period.

    • For example, California might be set as a monthly payer (January 1st to January 31st), while North Carolina could be quarterly (January 1st to March 31st).

  • Selecting the Relevant Period:

    • Scroll to find the desired period for the report, such as the previous year, if the current period lacks data.

  • Accessing Detailed Reports:

    • Choose a specific month.

    • Click 'View Tax Return' and then 'View Liability Report' for detailed tax collection information by county.
